forward body is blank

Sorry if this comes in twice but I didn't confirm my account before submitting last time so I think it didn't work. When click "Forward" the body of the message does not have the message I am trying to forward. I went tools/options/composition/general and made sure it is set to inline. I looks like I am not the first to have this issue. I found this link https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=549883 that appears to be my problem from a long time ago. I didn't see a answer that works though. Please help. Thanks Alex

Is the box checked to Quote the Original Message?

Okay, BTW the message I just got from no-reply@support.mozilla.org does forward inline with out a issue. I do not know why some will not forward inline. I sent a email to a known person that does not forward inline asking what email software they use.

Outlook is mentioned repeatedly in the Bug report. Microsoft is notorious for ignoring standards with their email and clients.

I guess if we know this, can't it be anticipated? It seems like for years Microsoft has been this way. Seems like there would be some way to say hey no mater what crap Microsoft does take whats in the message and put it inline. Even if it wasn't formatted correctly at least it would be there. I am not a software/coder guy by any means and I am sure its a lot more complicated. But that post I found is from 7 years ago.

I am just an end user also so I do not know the solution. You can Google the problem and there are even complaints on the Microsoft forums from people using Microsoft's products.

Just a thought, but try this.... view message in plain text mode. 'View' > 'Message Body As' > 'Plain Text'

Change to use Plain text in new message. Right click on mail account in Folder Pane and select 'Settings' select 'composition & addressing' for mail account uncheck : 'Compose messages in HTML format' click on OK

Select email click on 'Forward'

What happens this time? Is the message now included?
