Thunderbird won't open .doc or .docx attachments unless I restart in safe mode. This just started happening one day... and now it's all the time. Fix?

I have attachments that come in all the time and then, they just didn't download until I restarted Thunderbird in Safe Mode.

It's making me nuts... how can I fix this?

My guess is remove the add-on that is causing the problem.... you might try disabling all add-ons in the dialog when you start in safe mode then restart normally.

Hi Matt - thanks for the help, but I don't have any add ons running at all.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated!
