looking for the mail folder under profiles/default but don't have it

trying to view files from gmail obtained from SW. followed instructions from LERS, under Thunderbird/profiles/XXXXXXX.default. says look for Mail folder but it doesn't exist. I need to save mbox file into local folders but it's not there.
