How set default email font?

I'm new to Thunderbird so this is pretty basic I know, but? I want to set the font style, size, and (color although that doesn't seem to be an available option) and make them my default for all newly composed emails. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi

If you select Preferences from the menu bar (it may be under Tools or Edit), then select Display, you will have the option to change the default typeface and colour.
