hold shift while starting Thunderbird and continue in safe mode when prompted. Does it work any better in safe mode?

Safe Mode has disabled add-ons. Do you have any add-ons that interact with the Address Book?

The excellent MoreFunctionsForAddressBook has had trouble with some recent updates.

I use MoreFunctionsForAddressBook. But if I disable it auto complete works strangely, not bringing p the recent addresses. It wasn't the MoreFunctions add-o, but I also use InversSoGoConnector, which causes the problem. I will try another CardDAV plug-in. Thanks a lot for your support.
