I can't open my address book by clicking on the icon
When I click on the address book icon at the top of the page, it will not open but just goes to the task bar and will not open from there. Coley

Are you on Windows? Then your Address Book window info maybe has gone bad and the window is positioned outside the visible screen. Windows sometimes does this. Open the address book, and immediately after starting it, when it still has focus, press Alt+Space. This should open the Window menu somewhere on your screen. Now choose Move from the menu (or press M) and move the window using your cursor keys until it appears on your screen. You should see a visible clue on the side of the screen as to where the window is at the moment, so you know in which direction you have to move it.

Many thanks, the address book was coming up on a second screen which I don't use now.
