Thunderbird down loads the heading but not the message

Our computer crashed after an M S upgrade, and was revived by a technician, but now when we click on the email heading the message content does not down load. A message pops up that says the message is available to down load bur nothing happens when the blue message is clicked on.

Chosen solution

Please let me know if it was a Disc Space issue of not downloading due to size.

However, it may be that you need to swap over to downloading the message and not just a header.

Are you talking about a Pop or Imap mail account?

If POP: right click on pop mail account in Folder Pane and select 'Settings' select 'Disc Space' To save disc space, do not download...'Messages larger than xx KB' Is that option selected ?

If IMAP: right click on imap mail account in Folder Pane and select 'Settings' select 'Synchronisation & Storage' Under 'Disc Space' section 'Don't download messages larger than xx KB' Is that option selected ?

If yes, then either increase the XX KB or uncheck that option.
