Hi. I' ve noticed that after the recent thunderbird update the mails remain on the server as unread (bold). I haven't changed any of my settings and it was working for years. Anyone else has this?

Chosen solution

Thunderbird simply downloads email from the server in the case of a pop account. Optionally it can delete the mail as it does so. There is nothing in the pop RFC about marking mail read, downloaded or anything else.

If you are observing a change in what occurs on Yahoo it is almost certainly a change with respect to what Yahoo do what you access your mail.

OK thanks. It seems yahoo has been having problems recently with their pop servers (again).
