In enterprise environment, i need to completely remove all search engine and make my ones. In FF43, i just put the xml files in the /usr/lib/firefox/distribution/searchplugins/locale/fr directory. It doesn't work with Firefox 51.x

I need so deactivate restore default search engine.

thanks.

In Firefox 40+ the built-in default search engines are no longer in the "\browser\searchengines\" folder in the Firefox program folder. The search engines have been moved to the "browser\omni.ja" archive. You can no longer make modifications to built-in search engines or add search engines globally via the "\browser\searchengines\" folder in the Firefox program folder.

You can inspect the built-in default search engines by pasting this chrome URI in the location bar.

chrome://browser/locale/searchplugins/
resource://search-plugins/
