Chosen solution

1. Reboot the computer.

2. Run a Disk Cleanup of your C: drive: Type "Disk Cleanup" in the Cortana Search (just to the right of the Start Menu button in the bottom left of your screen), then click on "Disk Cleanup" in the search results.

3. Download Thunderbird again and save the install file on the computer. Then run the install file.

Thank you for responding! I ended up returning the computer to Best Buy. I could not get Thunderbird, Quicken, and other software to load. I spent an hour on the phone with Quicken! I called Microsoft, HP, The Geek Squad, and none would help me without charging me - and I was not about to,pay for service for a brand new computer! So I'm off to try again with the replacement I bought from Frys. Tnx again!
