I just changed a very old Thunderbird acct from POP to IMAP and I am very confused by the display changes.

Everything in the new IMAP inbox appears as "read". I want it all to appear as "unread" (in bold type) until I actually open the message. I could not find a way to change this.

Are you talking about existing mail or new mail? Are there any other devices accessing this account, e.g. a phone?
