Can't get to the Inbox without first scrolling all past messages.

When I start Thunderbird, in order to find the inbox I must hold down the left arrow to the right of the three circles (red, amber, green) and scroll all previous messages before I get to the tab, Inbox. In the scan attached it is the very top section. Thanks for the help.

I didn't see any attached scan. Can't you just sort them date-wise ?
