How can I disable DRM completely? Completely lost confidence in Firefox.

more options

Hello Firefox friends,

I feel cheated and deceived regarding Firefox development. I was proud Firefox/Mozilla user from early beta versions before version 1.0 of Mozilla browser came off. I converted countless people (customers, friends) from using Internet Explorer. But I will never promote Firefox in the future, because it cannot be trusted anymore, sorry.

Why is DRM code in the browser, please? Why it is not optional? Is it posible to remove it completely? I am expecting serious answers.

I am already using Palemoon as a secondary browser.

Hi   !
You probably already tried this,   but just in case:
Go to:   3-bar menu > Add-ons On the left pane, click   'Plugins' The right pane has   'Prime Time Content Decryption Module provided by Adobe: Use the dropdown menu and choose:   'Never Activate'
Let us know if this worked for you, will you   ?
Good luck   !

Thank you for your kind answer. Unfortunatelly you do not understand the point. I do not want any such treacherous software in my browser. It should not be there in the first place. I believe you understand it.

Thank you for making my decision easier. It is so sad to abandon previously such great software, which becomes a load of proprietary, marketing, spying shits, financed and maintained by psychopats. I have used Firefox for 15 years! I finally switched to Palemoon.

Have a nice day. Martin

hi, drm in the browser is of course fully optional - you can control it within the content section of the firefox options: Watch DRM content on Firefox

No Philipp, it is not optional at all. The malicious, proprietary, binary blobs of "black box" DRM code comes inside the Firefox instalator. If someome is so stupid that he want to use Digital Restriction Management, than he should install it as an _optional_ plugin.

Firefox used to be free and open source software.

I am going to delete my profile. I am no longer interested in Firefox. RIP
