Does Firefox support Apple's retina display?

I have not been able to locate a definitive answer to the question. FF is my #1 browser and I have a new iMac with 5K retina on the way.

Will the iMac work well FF; do I need a plugin; do I need to adjust anything in about:config etc., in order to optimize FF on the iMac?

You'll be fine. Firefox had support for retina displays for over three years. :)
