I changed my computer & signed back into my account but now all my files and e mails are missing

My old computer crashed and I had to replace it, I installed Thunderbird to my new computer which took me to my e mail account however all my files and e mails are no longer in my account. There is very important information that I need to access and this unfortunate episode is causing me a problem now

Was this a POP account on the old computer?

Did you create a backup of your Thunderbird profile on the old computer? You can easily restore that on the new one.
