The earlier version of Thunderbird had an edit menu pick at the top. From that one could undo the last editing action. I don't see either the Edit or Undo anymore. Are these functions still available, and if so, how do I access them? I also don't see info or about, so I can't tell you what version of Thunderbird I have.

Chosen solution

Use F10 or alt to expose the menu temporarily. View|Toolbars will take you to some checkboxes where you can make the menu permanent.

I see all the old menu choices in the mail big window, but they disappear when I am in a window for an individual message. That is when I would need to edit what I am writing. I see to have version 45.3.0
