TB keeps lagging; Only running the Windows 8 computer solves the problem

TB started lagging out of the blue. Tried using TB safe mode to no avail. Re-installed various versions. Turned off indexing in Windows; virus control in TB; and message download in TB; rebooted several times. The only resolution was Windows safe mode. Interestingly, accessing the "junk", "draft" and several subfolders worked fine. Open to suggestions.

Thank you for the reminder. I thought I had disabled BD as a culprit, but apparently not. While TB was not responding, I disabled BD and TB instantly responded. kudos!
