As of this morning, all text rendering in Thunderbird has changed -- the quality of text display is very poor, slightly fuzzy.

Is this connected to a Windows update maybe?

I noticed some Windows updates installing last night.

Is there any way to fix this?

Chosen solution

in the past toggling the hardware acceleration has helped many folk remove the fuzzies. This setting is video card and driver dependent. It has no "correct" setting.

On the toolbar > Option> Advanced > general
