the e-mail toolbar has disappeared - how can I get it back?

the problem started with the disappearnce of the send button, when looking for help, found that indeed was missing from the window created for writing a mail, i.e. the whole e-mail tool bar (hope that this is the correct technical term), so the ony helpful comment was the one explaining how to use keyboard combinations - but since there's so many more functions unable to be accessed without the e-mail toolbaar I'd really appreciate to get it back - for that reason, downloaded Thunderbird again, reinstalled it, but this didn't help. As I myself don't know any other way, would like to ask for help! Many thanks in adance! Kind regards, sender

Since the beginning of Windows pressing the alt key makes the Menu Bar appear if it is hidden. From the Menu Bar select View-Toolbars and turn the missing toolbars back on. You have to be in the window where the toolbars normally reside. Send is on the Composition Toolbar in the Write window.

I think that if you can open a 'write' window (where you compose an email) and right-click at the top, just below the window title, you should get a menu that allows you to reinstate the tool bar.

thank you amanchesterman! I've tried that but the only options the pop up menue allowed were: restore (greyed out), move, size, minimize, maximize - unfortunately, none of them restored the e-mail toolbar.

i have tried everything, i know its there, my personal toolbar for Firefox, just can.t find & restore, my personal toolbar, with my 3 emails, etc., , please help, tim hinze sr, tiger11946sr@live.com, if you need any info, please ask, Thankyou?
