have tried every Help suggestion concerning hyperlinks in Thunderbird with no success. The hyperlinks turn red when clicked on and then back to blue again but nothing happens. No Firefox. The ideas tried included clearing attachments in Options and making sure the Thunderbird Support listed preferences were set to true. Still the hyperlinks only work in the "About Thunderbird" box and in Firefox. Since the hyperlinks work in Firefox and "About Thunderbird" box I take it that the Windows 10 default things are set correctly.

I have two laptops, one running Widows 10 with Thunderbird and one running Ubuntu ver. 14.1 with Thunderbird. The Windows 10 Thunderbird has right-side scroll bar with button arrows but hyperlinks don't work. In the Ubuntu Thunderbird the hyperlinks work but the right-side scroll button arrows are missing. Both problems started right after the last update to Thunderbird. So something inside of Thunderbird is causing the problems, I just don't have a clue as to what or where they are. I did try running Thunderbird with out the add-ons but still the hyperlinks didn't work. Any further ideas will be appreciated.

I don't think there are any. If in doubt ask in an Ubuntu forum.

Thanks for your input. Unfortunately I've already tried those suggestions 2 times to make sure I didn't miss anything. Hyperlinks still do not work. Whatever is preventing hyperlinks from working is inside Thunderbird and was changed by update 45. It's either a hidden preference or a function that 45 changed. What I'm looking for is the actual preference or function that allows Thunderbird hyperlinks to turn on Firefox that apparently was turned 0ff by update 45.
Linux versions of Firefox and Thunderbird both had right hand scrollbars with button arrows till the last update. Note of interest, Windows 10 Firefox also lost it's scrollbar arrow buttons immediately after the 45 update. A few days later the buttons re-appeared in the Windows 10 Firefox. So far tho, the same has not happened for the Linux versions.

I think I will cross link the previous identical conversation. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1129793

I will also close this one as a duplication of effort.

Might I suggest you not use space at the start of your lines, it makes for no wrapping of the text. It is very hard to read.
