How do I id the sender without opening the e-mail?

I have just migrated from Outlook Express. In that system, if there was a suspicious e-mail, I would right click on the e-mail and select "properties". This would display some details which included the sender's name and address. This was sufficient for me to decide if the e-mail was to be opened or deleted.

ctrl+u

Maybe I'm naive, but, I followed the direction: Pressing ctrl-u, and got the script for the entire communication (java?). And it was unintelligible!

Can we try again, or did I miss something?

It is indeed the "source" of the message. The top part is the header which tells you who it was sent to, where it was sent from, and by what route it was delivered.

Yes, indeed! And I thank you. B

I also need to migrate from Outlook Express (OE6 on XP SP3). Please post here your best links for preparing. Many thanks!
