I have Avast Free antivirus and am running Windows 10. Thunderbird updated itself yesterday to 45.1.1 and now when I open the inbox (IMAP) I get perhaps one click on something before it freezes. See image!

The problem seems to have cleared itself! I left the computer for a few hours and now when I have come back to it there seems to no problem. I will monitor it over the next few days and see what transpires!
