I just need to know what are the implications of allowing thunderbird to run as administrator when using my computer. What will it do and how do I control it? (I'm not tech savvy)

I just need to know what are the implications of allowing thunderbird to run as administrator when using my computer. What will it do and how do I control it? (I'm not tech savvy)

It's not specific to Thunderbird but a general advice not to have Administrator permissions for normal computer use. It's a matter of security in case of a malware you get onto your computer. Using an unprivileged account can prevent your computer from being infected.

Then you should not run Thunderbird with Administrator permissions. Simple as that.
