How can I make Firefox stop updating the visit dates of URLs in history?

Let's say that I visit a website on 5/6/16, and then two days later on 5/8/16, I visit the same website again. In that case, Firefox updates the URL in history to 5/8/16 and deletes the previous date that I visited it. I'd like for it to just keep both records, and continue to save them no matter how many times I visit the same site. Is there any way to do this? Are there any add-ons or particular settings I could change?

hi, firefox keeps both dates in the database in the background - you could use a tool like http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/mozilla_history_view.html to list all visits.

Thanks, but there isn't any way for me to display it in the browser as well, or possibly in an add-on?
