Every time that I allow an update of Thunderbird I end up wasting time. This latest update has stopped remote content being displayed and I can't find the old Options buttons to check/change settings. Any ideas?

The Options button appears just like the documentation shows on my computer running Win7 and Thunderbird 45 so it is not out of date for me.

That's weird. I also run Win7 and Thunderbird 45 but since updating to 45 the Options button has not appeared.

In case it helps anyone else .... I found a note about Tools / Options / Privacy ... Check "Allow remote content in messages" Click 'Exceptions' Click "Remove All Sites"

Then wait an hour or so, Doesn't seem to take effect immediately. If still no luck (as was the case with me and Pinterest) go back to the Exceptions panel and key in an 'Address of website' and click 'Allow'.

I wish people would leave things alone when they are not broken. What was wrong with the very helpful Options button ?

Thanks Chris1. The first part of that page is out of date. No Options button appears on messages anymore. The 'Display remote content by default' gives the answer.
