Can no longer print a DRAFT message open in compose. (Is a bug, which will be fixed in 45.1 and available soon)
Updated Thunderbird following prompt this morning [21 April 2016] Restart = no cannot print a DRAFT message. Why take this functionality away?

Still works here for me. TB45, LMDE.
Have you tried in Thunderbird's Safe mode?
If I select the message in the drafts folder, File|Print works.
If I open the draft and use the Print option in the view window's menu, then Print does nothing. But I can still print via Print Preview.
Why would you want to print a draft? It's not wysiwyg, so of limited value.
I suspect the reporter means a message currently in compose window, not a saved Draft.
It is a bug - which will be fixed in version 45.1, not yet released

I have the same problem. I can print the message if I use Print Preview. I need to print messages before sending them because a copy of the email goes into the customer's box before it's shipped. If the message is printed after it's sent, the full header is included, which wastes a lot of ink!
I have the same problem. Hope they get this fixed in a hurry. I print my invoices before the email is sent. I'm using Print/Preview to print them for the time being.
