Any idea for having Thunderbird filters available in several computers?
I use Thunderbird as a client to my Gmail account.
I have my filters all setup in my home computer, but now I'm away, using another computer and I don't have access to my filters (of course).
What's the best solution to make my filters available in any PC where I install Thunderbird?
Chosen solution
Access Profile folders whilst Thunderbird is closed and copy paste the file called 'msgFilterRules.dat' from old profile to new profile.
More details: make hidden files and folders visible:
In thunderbird Help > Troubleshooting Information click on 'Show folder' button a new window opens showing contents of profile folder name.
Close thunderbird now - this is important. click on 'Mail' folder for POP and 'Local Folders' mail accounts click on 'ImapMail' for imap mail accounts.
click on mail account name
look for 'msgFilterRules.dat' file. This file can be copy pasted into same location on another Profile.
Thunderbird must be closed when copy pasting.

The other method would be to set up on new PC using the Profile you have already created on older/other PC.
Basically install Thunderbird, run once to get a new profile. Do not add mail accounts. Access profile folder.
Access profile on other pc. Copy paste all the 'Contents' of the profile folder name into the new profile folder name overwriting all default files.
Make sure Thunderbird is exited before doing any copy pasting.
For Gmail accounts, if Thunderbird could store the filters as Gmail filters, then they would be available everywhere.
