Have used FF intensively for long time but since yesterday FF crashes repeatedly, generally a few minutes after opening and apparently at random, eg not connected with opening or closing tabs, and with only sites such as bbc or gmail open. Have tried reinstalling and disabling all add ins, makes no difference. Works perfectly normally until it crashes. Have not made any other changes to the computer,; Chrome and IE still work perfectly

Pls help as I would like to go on using FF

thank you for following up. unfortunately those crashes appear to be caused by trusteer rapport which is running on your device and hooking into firefox - please check that you are fully updated there or temporarily disable/uninstall that software for the moment.

please also get in contact with trusteer's support which are usually very quick to respond and fix issues like this: https://trusteer.secure.force.com/PKB/articles/en_US/FAQ/browser-crashes

Thank you.

Trusteer was not actualy installed in Firefox as I had had problems with it some time ago so I only use it with Chrome.

But turning it off has completely eliminated the FF crashing problem.

Will report this to Truteer.
