In Thunderbird, can I disable an account without removing it?
In Mac Mail, accounts can be disabled (or not enabled) without removing/deleting the account - how do I do this on Thunderbird? I am using the latest Thunderbird on an iMac using snow leopard OS X 10.6.8 Thanks

Thanks for your reply Matt. As a user of MacMail I find that being able to disable an account rather than deleting it is that it allows for experimentation as to which accounts different users need/want to access - and this can change over time.
Being able to do this at the click of the "enable this account" check box keeps the inbox and sidebar very clean and easily navigated.
In my present set up there is one Thunderbird user and it is very tedious having to add/remove accounts just in case they might need to see them.
However, I'll take your reply as solving my question
Thanks again
