Try to clear my junk folder once a day. After checking that it is all junk, select all and push delete. Thunderbird stops working, eventually I will get a message saying the following script has stopped

Script: chrome://calendar/content/calendar-common-sets.js:98

If I push continue Thunderbird will start working but it can take up to 1/2 hour to get the script message.

Both Thunderbird and Firebird are up to date. The only add on I have is Lightning, which is up to date. Running Windows 10 which is also up to date.

Confused about the message as I do not have any Google products installed even though I use Google for search

After checking that it is all junk, select all and push delete.

instead, I would use: Right click on Junk and select 'Empty Junk' then Right click on Junk and select 'Compact'

If you do not compact then it leaves a load of 'marked as deleted' files in the Junk folder. If you enable the Size column you will see that emptying the Junk does not mean completely clearing the folder. Via Menu Bar View > Layout > select: Folder Pane columns or via Mail Toolbar Menu icon > Options > Layout > select: Folder Pane columns Then you select to show eg: Size. See image below.

re :chrome script This has nothing to do with google nor google chrome browser. If you get the pop up select to stop the script.

The script sounds like it is more to do with an addon extension called 'Lightning' as it has a calendar.

Do you have an anti-virus product you use?

Thank you that seemed to do the trick. Did not think that the chrome was an issue.
