
Contents of inbox have vanished. Other account is fine
When I left the computer yesterday I still had numerous messages in the INBOX - but i could not access or read the messages. This morning all of the files have gone - not sure what has gone on now.
The question is - whether there is an inherent issue which will resurface... Virus software hasn't found anything.
I have done the Fix folder as suggested but that did not show anything.

What is your AV software?
Make certain it EXCLUDES your Thunderbird profile directory. See https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird:Testing:Antivirus_Related_Performance_Issues

As I say I have decided to cut my losses... I have used thunderbird for more than a year and it has worked fine. But the new email provider has allowed transfer of files etc so not a problem now. I have not changed anything recently - same virus software..
