For the last two days, Firefox has been crashing for no apparent reason. Today I went to the extent of uninstalling it and reinstalling it but this made no difference. I have not added any add ons or done anything different to make this happen but it is most frustrating when I can be in the middle of something important. Any suggestions what I can do to resolve this problem.

This could be a problem with Trusteer software (RapportTanzanxx.DLL). Make sure that you have the latest updates of your Trusteer software. You can try to contact Trusteer for support.

Try to update or uninstall and reinstall Trusteer Rapport and if that doesn't help then disable/stop the program for now.

  • Start Menu > Programs > Trusteer Rapport > Stop Rapport

Mac:System Preferences -> Other -> Rapport -> Stop Rapport

Have you tried restarting your computer?

Please follow the steps below to provide us crash IDs to help us learn more about your crash.

  1. Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A Submitted Crash Reports list will appear, similar to the one shown below.
  2. Copy the 5 most recent Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.

Note: If a recent Report ID does not start with bp- click on it to submit the report.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)
