I have asked my server for restrictions as to what sites can be accessed.

This update opens a tab and automatically goes to sites which my server will not accept.

I cannot find a solution to this. I have tried google and bing and the same thing happens.

I have therefore abandoned Firefox and moved to Chrome.

Hi

Thank you for your question. So that we can best help you, please can you clarify the issue?

It sounds like you have asked your internet service provider to restrict access to certain sites, and that Firefox for Android will then not all you to view those sites..?

You may need to revisit the controls that you have put in place with your ISP to allow you access.
