firefox will not download on my desktop

everytime i try to download mozilla firefox and go to click 'save' it says firefox cannot be downloaded or saved. I have tried downloading from several different sites, CNET, MOZILLA etc.. I had Mozilla as a browser and when i clicked on it it ended up using yahoo ??? So i deleted Mozilla to reinstall now i cannot reinstall....I am stuck with IE
