Firefox won't load web pages or connect to the internet
I had an update recently on the 23rd and clicked update and since then firefox won't connect to the internet or display webpages. I have cleared cache and cookies, I have reset firefox, I have un-installed and deleted everything and installed a new clean install, I have updated java and flash player, I have tried to setup Sync but firefox says I am not connected to the internet, I have disabled and turned off all firewalls and anti virus and repeated previous steps for un-install and re-install and nothing works.
I have went to command prompt and reset my ipconfig and flushed DNS servers I have access to every other web based program from world of warcraft to internet explorer (which I am being forced to use in the short term while waiting to get firefox fixed. I can't even do a system restore cos for some reason It won't work and all the previous restore points have disappeared :S
I really would like some help on this matter as I am quite proficient at this sort of thing but this is baffling me... even trying to figure out how to register an account to ask this question was surprisingly difficult.

hi, please go into the programs section of your system control panel and uninstal nvidia forceware network access manager in case you have that present. Connectivity or crashing issues after Firefox 43 update

Type about:preferences#advanced<Enter> in the address bar.
Under Advanced, Select Network. Look for Configure How Firefox Connects and press the Settings button. If you are using a proxy, make sure those settings are correct. If there is no proxy, first use No Proxy. If there is a problem, then try System Proxy.
Some problems occurs when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again;
- Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
- Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see

I've tried altering the proxy settings from no proxy to auto detect and it still won't connect and when I tried to use sync it said there was no internet connection available.
I have since un-installed firefox and re-installed firefox 37 and then updated to 43.01 and it works fine but if I update to firefox 43.02 it is back to the same problem and won't recognise the internet connection...
