can you recover sent emails if laptop was stolen?

My laptop was recently stolen. I had to get a new one, I was downloaded thunderbird again and my inbox filled up. However I need my access my sent items. And it currently says empty? Is there any way I can get them back??

If your account type is IMAP they would likely still be on the server.

if your account type is POP, restore them from a recent backup, assuming you took the time to create one. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Thunderbird_:_FAQs_:_Backing_Up_and_Restoring
