Not geting e-mails. What do I do to solve the problem?

Thunderbird shows a padlock on the inbox. I can not get any new mail or use Thunderbird to write mails, I have not found any corrective action or anyone to call. I can read any reply on Astound.

The padlock indicates a secure connection to the server. This is what you want.
