All my emails that I receive include many lines of code such as for example: fed1rmimpi209 ([68.230.241.24]) by fed1rmfepi103.cox.net (InterMail vM.8.01.05.15 201-2260-151-145-20131218) with ESMTP id <20150915210616.TWMS31792.fed1rmfepi103.cox.net@fed1rmimpi209> for <***@cox.net>; Tue, 15 Sep 2015 17:06:16 -0400 This also prints out on my printer before the email text message. How do I eliminate this "garbage" from showing up?

Thank you

Chosen solution

Could you check here:

On Windows, tap the Alt key to display the menu bar if needed:

View > Headers

It sounds as though you have "Full" selected instead of "Normal". If you switch it to Normal, do messages print with just the From/To/Subject?

For more flexible options, you could try this add-on (install from inside Thunderbird): https://addons.mozilla.org/thunderbird/addon/printingtools/
