When sending email to multiple recipients, I get "The mail address or 2 or more external domains is contained in To; Cc. Would you like to send?"

Image capture attached. Using latest Tbird 38.2.0

Thanks volunteers for the help,

Are you using an addon like external email alert?

No. I already followed the instructions for Troubleshooting, and, booted with Tbird into safe mode. Didn't help.

Of note, the auto-fill when entering an address in to the To: box doesn't work. I Binged that problem and searched the Moz site for results - nothing fit the scenario. Example: Open new email to send. Type start of name, the I bar starts in red, before typing any letter. I have to find and type the whole address.

It is very possible that, as is sometimes the case, not the user. Why would Tbird even have such a Warning if it can't be adjusted if it's going to pass fault on to add-ons, Flash, Java, or whatever.

I would disable the Warning on the multiple emails, because it's not doing anything wrong - the warning is wrong - not the addresses.

I'm not familiar with that warning and can't comment on where it comes from. But for the lack of auto-complete, and the red, I'd start by checking that the Address Book is in good shape. How was it populated? Are the email addresses in the right place? Not in "nickname" for instance?
