Thunderbird 38.1.0 and 38.2.0 "Not Responding"

After updating to the latest version of Thunderbird, I frequently find this program bogged down, the statement "Not Responding" appearing at the top of my display. This was never an issue with earlier versions.

Option A. Please update to 38.2.0

Option B. Still In Windows safe mode, start thunderbird in safe mode - http://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/kb/safe-mode Does problem go away?

Upgrade to 38.2.0 seems to be helpful, thank you. I checked for a newer version for the last couple of days, had to be a bit more patient!

The "Not Responding" message and delays are occurring again, after initially clearing with the upgrade to 38.2.0.
