hunderbird spell check highlights misspelt "words" that are not contained in the message. What can I do to overcome no errors ?
The misspelled word is not contained in the message - for all new messages written
Chosen solution
Well if you have added them to the dictionary it will be a simple matter of clicking on the edit button in the spell check and looking them up. I would assume that very few word that exist need to be added.

Pasting from a word processor into Thunderbird perhaps?

It doesn't address the issue of misspelling content invisible how does that happen ?
Well if your pasting from Word there could be 20 or 30 thousand characters that arrive in Thunderbird and are hidden, including binary objects.. So now I have taken time out to answer your question., Perhaps you could answer mine.
Seriously if your looking for a solution providing information is the way to get there. You have asked a question that is the digital equivalent of "how long is a piece of string?" When you came to this forum you were presented with a whole range of similar issues. Did you see anyone else with it? Well I have not. Not for several versions anyway. I assume your using the current version. Are you?
Thank you for taking the time for a detailed reply. I am using version 31.7.0 of Mozilla Thunderbird. I did peruse help looking for an existing issue. I am not pasting from word - My problem is I create a new email message, and on using spell check, the misspelt items are not contained in the message. So, my question is where did the non existent misspelts in my message come from ?
Could you provide an example of the kind of words it picks up?
Are you using a signature? If so, how was it created?
Could you try Thunderbird in Safe Mode to see if this stops happening?
The problem has been avoided by adding them to the dictionary. They were three or four letters and at times had a hyphen included Sending was indicated but the message never delivered nor was undeliverable ever indicated. I will accept that Murphy was alive and well - but it has been weird that the errors were not contained. Thanks for the support.
