Hello - I can't open Thunderbird anymore. When I try to open Thunderbird, I receive the following error message: XPCOM. and no matter what I do, the same message continues to appear whenever I try to open up Thunderbird. No access to Thunderbird, whatever I try. I have to rely on my phone to receive emails, but must have my laptop emails operating correctly. Does anyone have a solution please? I don't want to stop using Thunderbird, but I need a quick fix if anyone has a solution. Thanks in advance. Regards, Tony Brown

Is this with version 31 or version 38?

(If version 38, then please download from https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/ and reinstall 38)

If you still fail, please start *Windows'* safe mode with networking enabled - win8 http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/windows-startup-settings-safe-mode - win7 http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/start-computer-safe-mode#start-computer-safe-mode=windows-7 - XP http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/boot_failsafe.mspx

Still In Windows safe mode, start thunderbird in safe mode - http://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/kb/safe-mode

Does problem go away?
