How can I prevent add-ons from opening a new tab/window every time they update?

Hello,

More and more of my add-ons have started opening their own window/tab after they update. They contain update logs, "please donate" etc. I'm hoping there's a means to block these.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Well, you can block them with the pop-up blocker but they are just letting you know that they are updated. I have this issue a lot with Ad Block Plus, Evernote, Omni-bar, and much much more! I just ignore them and close the tabs... But if you really want to again just block them with the pop-up blocker...

How would I block specific instances with the pop-up blocker? I'm only aware of the checkbox for on/off... It has always been checked "on".
