I got TB installed, I've defined my email, however, now I'd like to use TB as a CALENDAR only, is there a way to close the "email" tab? right clicking it only allows to 'close other tabs', not to close the email tab.

I guess I could remove the email account, however that might be an overkill, b/c there may be a time, once a month, that i may want to access that email on that device. just that i want to open calendar only on this device.. and reading email via other means on another device.

Any help appreciated.

Chosen solution

The Lightbird add-on might be worth looking at. In TB, it lets you run the Lightning calendar in a separate window, so you can close or minimize the main TB mail window. If it's installed in SeaMonkey, it appears you can launch the calendar by itself when you launch SM.

No. Thunderbird is an email client with an add on calendar, not the other way around.

ok, thanks. I'm a sunBird refugee I guess.. the Monkey thing seems like an over kill.. I'll try to find the direct command that launches lightbird directly. Thanks for that tip.
