How to prevent Account Manager pop-up window?
I have Thunderbird 31.6.0 on my Win8.1 computer. I have a problem that I will try to describe.
I am using LibreCalc to create a file. I don't want to be concerned about whether the recipient has a spreadsheet application, so I am saving the file as a PDF document.
Then I open the file with the Sumatra PDF reader. One of the fields in the spreadsheet are Email addresses. When I click on one of those Email address fields, I have a pop-up come up titled Account Wizard trying to set me up with a NewsGroup account. After a lot of searching on Google, I found this information related to Thunderbird: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird:Help_Documentation:Managing_Your_Accounts
It appears that when I click on the Email address in the spreadsheet, it brings up the Account Wizard from Thunderbird.
I don't anticipate any need for that Account Wizard capability. Is there some way for me to disable it or prevent the pop-up?

No you can not "suppress" the dialog, fix the problem.
That Thunderbird is trying to set up a news account is most relevant here., assuming you actually have set up a mail account in Thunderbird.
It would appear the PDF creation in libre office is creating News:// links not mailto:// links. Or your reader is messing up.
I created a pdf from libre office calc and it opened correctly in adobe reader and opened Thunderbird with the compose window. Then I downloaded and installed sumatra and got the same results.
