When I open Firefox my antivirus blocks a url which is ssl:store/uniblue.com. I do NOT own ANYTHING associated with that software.

Every time I open firefox I get a message from eset stating it has blocked the url "ssl:store/uniblue.com". I saw a question along those lines asked, and you stated you have no relationship to that company. I do not have any of that computer destroying software on my pc so it really makes me wonder why it is calling for a uniblue address when I open firefox. The only startup tab that opens is the "Nightly Start Page" so I couldn't tell you where it's coming from.

Mozilla does not have any relationship with Uniblue so somehow their software got onto your computer, I'd check a few things here:

  • type about:config into your address bar, press Enter. Accept the warning. Search for uniblue. if there are any preferences found, right click them and select "Reset"
  • Scan for malware on your computer. Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware. Use a few different scanners as sometimes malware can be hard to find.
  • In your Programs and Features, make sure you don't have any of their products installed. The full list is at http://www.uniblue.com/downloads/.
  • If these fail, it's possible you have a uniblue cert in Firefox. If that's the case, you can check and remove it. Certificates

Okay great! I've found it in about:config. It has some relationship to my script blocker "NoScript" so here is a screen shot. What should I do should I delete or will that cause an issue with NoScript? Thank you for your time!

Oh and one more thing, the reason I'm asking is because it will not allow me to reset. Just modify, copy blah blah. Thanks.
