When I open TBird it downloads the email from my old default account only. This problem began when I added a second account and made it my default. Once TBird is open if i click "Get Messages"l Thunderbird gets my email for my old defaultaccount only. I have to click Get Messages and use the arrow to choose each account. For further info I am using a global inbox and all of my mail goes to "Local Folders". If I remember correctly when i first started using TBird somewhere in the account settings there was a check box that said download or retrieve mail from this account when getting mail.( Something to that effect. going back to TBird v2 or so.) I could not find this option when I searched for it in the account settings i TBird 37..

Any help with remedying this frustrating matter would be greatly appreciated.

That did it. But I should have been more specific. i use TBird Linux. So it's /Ediit/Account Settings/Server Settings/ Advanced/.

Thanks for your help. I was pulling my hair out!!
