Confused. I thought Firefox for iPad was released?. I thought I downloaded it but can't find it anyplace. If it's on iPad I want to install it now!

I am confused as to whether Firefox is now on iPad too. I can't find it. I think it's downloaded?...if so I want to uninstall now!

That is Not from Mozilla as it is either a fake or a shell. The only thing Mozilla had on itunes was the Firefox Home app as mentioned.

Mozilla would have likely made a mobile Firefox version for iOS for sometime now if not for the Apple restrictions on what browser and JavaScript engines could be used.

Mozilla did actually have a browser experiment for iPad back in June 2012 called Junior but of course it did not use the familiar Gecko engine and JavaScript engine used by say Firefox. Starting from this time is when some sites started cropping up claiming to have a version for iPad though.

Mozilla did have a app for iOS called "Firefox Home" which synced stuff from Firefox. It was not a web browser.

There is no version of Firefox from Mozilla for any iOS device due Applies restrictions on browser/JavaScript engines used.

Firefox is currently only for desktop Windows, Mac OSX and Linux and mobile Firefox for Android and the Firefox OS.

Mozilla is looking at having a browser on iOS. It is not using the Gecko engine though. http://swiftwala.com/firefox/ https://twitter.com/fennecios

Still very confused: just read an article that contradicts above answer by claiming "If you love the Firefox browser for your laptop and desktop needs, then you will be thrilled to know that it is now approved for the Apple iPad and iPhone and is free at the iTunes apps store. Mozilla’s Firefox is a web browser that has been downloaded by millions of users and is very popular for usage all over the world. Now that it is available as an app for iPad, Firefox for iPad is sure to also be a huge hit, especially since it is free for use! The original Mozilla Firefox first came out in 2004, and now as of 2014, there is a version of Firefox for iPad ..." (found on https://www.mac-webserver.com/) Am beginning to think the marketers are hyping something that isn't so...?
