Nokia Lumia 635: Incomparible with Firefox?

I am using a Nokia Lumia 635 that uses Windows 8.1 as an OS. Having used Firefox on my desktop for many years, I find IE extremely frustrating to deal with, primarily due to constant crashing. For sake of reference, I have IE 11 & automatic updates is turned on.

I want to install Firefox, but can't for some reason. I keep getting a message that my device is not compatible. My Nokia is 100% stock as I have not even installed a single app.

What can I do to resolve this situation? If I can not run Firefox, can someone please suggest a higher reliability browser that won't require brain surgery to install or use? THANK YOU for any & all help!
