What's the technical difference between a message and a conversation. Is it where multiple messages are in 1 conversation?

What's the technical difference between a message and a conversation. Is it where multiple messages are in 1 conversation?

Chosen solution

A message. One email received or sent is a message.

A conversation can be started with a message. A conversaion can have threaded messages, where the eg: 'Reply' button has been used and the email is passed to and fro with added comments.

If you highlight several messages in a list, they will be displayed below in the Message Pane as xx number of conversatons.

If you right click on a received email message in the list and choose 'open in conversation'; then it will open in a new tab showing all emails included threaded, that are relevant to that conversation, both received emails and ones you have sent.
